Will it work with my EV?
Yes. The EVlink Home has a tethered Type 2 cable, so any EV sold in Malaysia plugs straight in.
Your actual charging speed will depend on the lower of two limits: the charger’s rating and your car’s onboard AC charger (many EVs cap AC charging at 7 kW or 11 kW, so a 22 kW wallbox won’t push them any faster).
Will it work with my home?
For a single-phase landed home, the 7.4 kW EVlink Home (32 A) is the right model.
Installing the 11 kW or 22 kW version requires a three-phase electrical supply. Having three-phase isn’t the end of it. Your installer still has to check there’s spare capacity once the aircons and water heater are counted.
Charging Speed & Overnight Time
On single-phase, a 7.4 kW unit adds roughly 35 to 40 km of range per hour. Plug in after dinner and most cars are full by morning.
Faster only counts if your car and your DB can both take it. For daily driving, 7.4 kW overnight is plenty.
| Power Rating | Est. Speed (km/hr) | 0–100% (60 kWh Battery) |
|---|---|---|
| 7.4 kW (Single-phase) | ~35–40 km/hr | ~8–9 hrs |
| 11 kW (Three-phase) | ~55–60 km/hr | ~5–6 hrs |
| 22 kW (Three-phase) | ~110–120 km/hr | ~3 hrs |

Installation & Safety
A good charger badly wired is still a bad charger. For the Schneider EVlink, a proper job includes:
- A dedicated EV circuit originating from your distribution board (DB).
- Cable sized for hours at full load. A 32 A charger runs flat out all night, so undersized wire will cook.
- Proper earthing and surge/circuit protection.
- A load check before anything is drilled, so you know your supply can carry it.
- Full testing and compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) EVCS guidelines.
- Assistance with TNB application (if supply upgrades are needed).
Smart Features
- Plug and charge: no card or app needed on the base model
- Emergency stop: red push-button on the front
- Status light: one LED that changes colour by state
- Anti-tripping: optional module adjusts power to household load
- App control: only on EVlink Home Smart
Dynamic Load Balancing
Pair it with the EVlink Home Anti-tripping System, a small DIN-rail module in your DB. It reads household current and tells the charger to back off over the power line, so the main breaker stays on. Set it to 16, 20, 25, 32, 40 or 50 A.
Cable & Everyday Convenience
The 5m tethered Type 2 cable exits at the bottom. It’s enough for a car parked nose-in close to the wall. If you reverse in and the port is at the front, check the reach before drilling.
Weather & Durability
IP55 and IK10, which is better than most home units sold here. It can handle an exposed wall, but afternoon sun still ages plastic, so a roofed spot is better.
App User Experience
The standard EVlink Home has no app. You plug in and it charges. If you want scheduling or tracking, the EVlink Home Smart adds Wi-Fi and app control.

Not the EVlink Home. It stops at 11 kW on three-phase. For 22 kW you'd need the EVlink Smart Wallbox or EVlink Pro AC.
Yes. It charges through Type 2, the standard on every EV sold in Malaysia. Real speed is the lower of the charger rating and your car's onboard AC charger, usually 7 to 11 kW.
Most terrace and semi-D homes are single-phase, which tops out at 7.4 kW. Three-phase is more common in bigger or newer homes. Your TNB meter or installer can tell you.
At 7.4 kW, about 35 to 40 km of range per hour. A 60 kWh battery goes from 20% to 80% in roughly 5 hours.
JusEV lists the EVlink Home 7.4 kW at RM4,320.61 and the 11 kW at RM4,430.68. The EVlink Smart Wallbox 22 kW with RFID is RM5,315. Installation is extra.
Yes, IP55 and IK10. It copes with rain better than most home chargers. Shade from afternoon sun still helps.
Schneider gives 24 months across the EVlink Home range. Ask your installer for at least 12 months on workmanship.
