Will it work with my EV?
Yes. It has a tethered Type 2 plug, which every EV sold in Malaysia uses.
Your actual charging speed will depend on the lower of two limits: the charger’s rating and your car’s onboard AC charger (many EVs cap AC charging at 7 kW or 11 kW, so a 22 kW wallbox won’t push them any faster).
Will it work with my home?
The Spin Air sold here is a 22 kW unit, so it needs a three-phase supply. Most terrace homes on single-phase can’t use it at full output.
Installing the 11 kW or 22 kW version requires a three-phase electrical supply. Having three-phase isn’t the end of it. Your installer still has to check there’s spare capacity once the aircons and water heater are counted.
Charging Speed & Overnight Time
On single-phase, a 7.4 kW unit adds roughly 35 to 40 km of range per hour. Plug in after dinner and most cars are full by morning.
Faster only counts if your car and your DB can both take it. For daily driving, 7.4 kW overnight is plenty.
| Power Rating | Est. Speed (km/hr) | 0–100% (60 kWh Battery) |
|---|---|---|
| 7.4 kW (Single-phase) | ~35–40 km/hr | ~8–9 hrs |
| 11 kW (Three-phase) | ~55–60 km/hr | ~5–6 hrs |
| 22 kW (Three-phase) | ~110–120 km/hr | ~3 hrs |

Installation & Safety
A good charger badly wired is still a bad charger. For the Exicom Spin Air, a proper job includes:
- A dedicated EV circuit originating from your distribution board (DB).
- Cable sized for hours at full load. A 32 A charger runs flat out all night, so undersized wire will cook.
- Proper earthing and surge/circuit protection.
- A load check before anything is drilled, so you know your supply can carry it.
- Full testing and compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) EVCS guidelines.
- Assistance with TNB application (if supply upgrades are needed).
Smart Features
- Scheduled charging: set in the Exicom app
- Load management: cuts power when the house is busy
- Load sharing: splits power between chargers
- Energy tracking: session data in the app
- Gun dock: built into the body, no extra holster
Dynamic Load Balancing
Exicom builds dynamic load management and sharing into the Spin Air. It trims charging current to keep total household draw under your limit. Ask the installer what metering it needs on your DB.
Cable & Everyday Convenience
It comes with a 5m tethered Type 2 cable, and the plug docks into the unit itself. Plan the mount so 5m reaches your port, nose-in or reversed.
Weather & Durability
EVNETICS lists IP54, while Exicom’s page says IP66. Until that’s settled, treat it as splash-proof and mount it under a roof. Full output is rated up to 55 °C, which suits a hot porch.
App User Experience
You manage it through Exicom’s app, with scheduling and session data. Ask EVNETICS which app version ships with Malaysian units.

Yes, that's the only version sold here. You need three-phase with spare capacity, and a car that accepts 22 kW AC.
Yes. It charges through Type 2, the standard on every EV sold in Malaysia. Real speed is the lower of the charger rating and your car's onboard AC charger, usually 7 to 11 kW.
The Spin Air is sold as a 22 kW unit, so you need three-phase. Single-phase homes should look at a 7 kW wallbox instead.
At 7.4 kW, about 35 to 40 km of range per hour. A 60 kWh battery goes from 20% to 80% in roughly 5 hours.
EVNETICS lists the unit at RM7,000. Installation is quoted separately. We found no other Malaysian price.
Sources disagree. EVNETICS lists IP54, Exicom's own page says IP66. Mount it under the porch roof to be safe.
EVNETICS lists a 2-year manufacturer warranty. One second-hand listing claims cover to 2029, so check your unit's serial.
