Charge+, one of the biggest EV charging operator in our region, just partnered up with Chinese car maker XPENG to bring us some seriously fast charging stations.

The new charging stations can go up to 350kW DC power. That’s faster than anything we’ve seen before in Malaysia so far, even beating Tesla’s Supercharger network.

How Fast Are We Talking Here?

Okay, here’s the shiok part. If you’re driving a compatible XPENG car, you can charge from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes. Twelve minutes! That’s barely enough time for you to grab a teh tarik and some roti canai at the F&B in KL Eco City Mall.

The technology they’re using is called XPENG’s 5C supercharging with an 800V platform. I won’t pretend to understand all the technical stuff la,  but the bottom line is it charges way faster than what we’re used to.

Where Can You Find These New Chargers in Klang Valley?

They launched four locations on September 23, 2025. In Malaysia, the chargers are at KL Eco City. This place now has six ultra fast DC charging points with different power levels:

  •  Two 350kW units
  • Two 250kW units
  • Two 200kW units

Apparently, this makes KL Eco City the fastest EV charging station in KL right now.

The other three locations are in Singapore at Royal Square Novena and Downtown East, plus one in Bangkok at One Bangkok. They picked these spots because they’re in busy areas where lots of people go shopping and hanging out.

Part of a Much Bigger Plan

This partnership isn’t just about these four charging stations. Charge+ has this massive plan called the 5,000 kilometer EV charging highway project. They want to connect Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam with one long charging network.

You could potentially drive your EV from Singapore all the way up to Vietnam without worrying about where to charge.

How Much Will It Cost You?

At the KL Eco City station, they’re charging RM1 per kWh through the Charge+ mobile app. But they say this price might change before everything is fully operational, so don’t hold me to it.

Here’s the best part for XPENG owners. You get three years of charging discounts across Charge+’s entire Southeast Asian network. Plus extra savings at these co branded supercharging hubs. Not a bad deal if you’re thinking of getting an XPENG car.

Making It Super Convenient For XPENG Drivers

By the end of 2025, XPENG owners will be able to access Charge+’s entire public charging network directly through their XPENG mobile app. Even better, you’ll be able to control everything from your car’s dashboard. Start charging, stop charging, find stations, all without getting out of your car.

Perfect for those hot Malaysian afternoons when you don’t want to step out into the sun, kan?

What’s Coming Next For Them?

Phase two of this expansion will bring more charging stations to the existing markets and enter Indonesia. They’re targeting busy commercial areas, shopping malls, and highway rest stops.

This timing works well with Malaysia’s goal of having 400,000 EVs on our roads by 2030. With faster charging and more stations, maybe more Malaysians will consider making the switch to EVs
